Hooters

Hi All,

We are booked at Hooters for two weeks starting 29 April and really looking forward to the holiday. As any TA members stayed there if so what did they think of it. Also we are intending doing the Hover Dam visit can any member recommend a tour operator, we would like to spend at least half a day there.

Cheers

Hooters

Hello there ...

Havent stayed at Hooters so cant comment .. sure youll have a great time though...

As for the dam, dont bother with a tour operator ... Hire a car and drive out there ... its only 30 minutes away and very easy to find. You could stop off in Boulder City on your way there / back ... it%26#39;ll give you a refreshing %26#39;break%26#39; from the vegas crazyness !

Have fun and leave vegas in one piece, well be there from the 14th of May ...

Hooters

Agree with previous post. Rent a car for the day, get to the dam early before the tour buses arrive and then go on to Valley of Fire State Park. It%26#39;s a great day trip.

I%26#39;ve never set foot inside Hooters since it changed from San Remo so can%26#39;t help there. Sorry.

I had a clean room at Hooters, with comfortable bedding. The bathroom just basic, but carpet and beds looked newer.

10 minute walk off strip. Ask for Ocean Tower. The pool area looked OK.

The parking deck is convenient, not as distant from the room as at many hotels.

The restaurants are just OK

For a better hamburger than Hooters restaurant, go to a nearby cafe%26#39; like Pyramid cafe in Luxor, or go to Burger Bar in Mandalay bay. Many nice restaurants in MGM and NYNY near by.

Best breakfast nearby is Mandalay Bay buffet. Pretty darn good for L and D, too.

I%26#39;m staying there in May for 5 nights. Not stayed before, but I didn%26#39;t mind it in there at all, the restaurants are so so, my steamed oysters were a disaster though, I ended up sending them back twice and settled sharing my other half%26#39;s wings and fries and asking them to take them off the bill.

It%26#39;s not too bad locationwise.

Thank you all for your help much appreciated, regarding the car rental, not driven in the US before SO whats the requirement needed, produce current Licence and insurance certificate?

Cheers

i believe you have to pay by credit card as well, they don%26#39;t accept cash

Never stayed at Hooters, but have spent a lot of time gambling there. I like the ';smaller'; feel it has. Very nice people!

We really like Hooter%26#39;s. Have stayed there twice. Rooms are basic in size and decor. Good beds, though. Rooms have safe and hairdryers. No coffee maker. Pools are decent. Casino is small and really hops at night. Slot machines are pretty tight. I%26#39;ve had more success on the penny machines than any other type of machine. All you can eat ribs at Dan Marino%26#39;s were acceptable. Didn%26#39;t try any of the other restaurants. CW are really busy in the evening, but if you tip good, they keep coming back frequently.

No tea or coffee making facilities? But it says they do on heir website :(

It%26#39;s so annoying not being able to have a cuppa in the morning when you%26#39;re getting ready.

I cup coffee pots and coffee packets, in-room, one of the few places that does.

Get a 4 cup pot or tea kettle at Walgreen just up the strip if you want more capacity, $10 each.
