Thinking of staying there in Sept. Any comments on your stay - re: pool, restaurants, bars
Mirage ???I stayed there last Sept and have stayed there several times in the past. Mirage is one of my favorites on the strip, great location, one of the very best pool areas in all of Vegas, good bars and restaurants. Also, the rooms are all being renovated and the renovations will be complete by the end of Aug so you%26#39;d be getting a brand new room.
Mirage ???I just returned from a 4-day stay at the Mirage and really enjoyed it. I was in one of the older rooms, but found it to be clean and comfortable. When you arrive ask for one of the renovated rooms. (Maybe by September, all of the rooms will be finished.)
The buffet, Cravings, is really good. I ate there twice. The Champagne Brunch (Sat and Sunday) is great. I also enjoyed the California Pizza restaurant -- good pizza. I did not care for the food in Stack, but the cocktails there were great.
The pool is AWESOME, but get there early (before 12 or maybe even 11 if you want a chair).
I would definitely stay there again.
Thanks for your comments! The few times we%26#39;ve been there we stayed on the other side of the strip. Looking for a nice pool this time as well...so we deciding on this so far.
If you have a good buzz and get hungry, try the Carnegie Deli! The buffet is good, too. I like the darker feel of the casino (some hate it). Best blackjack dealers in Vegas (IMO). The landscaping is very impressive. It%26#39;s my personal favorite (with Mandalay Bay) because it%26#39;s a classy place yet still a lot of fun.
I stayed there in the summer of 2006. Although my room was somewhat dated, it was very clean. I liked the casino and the location was great. The pool is just fantastic and I never had a problem getting a chair. However, I like shade and go early. I was also there mid-week, so maybe that%26#39;s why. The drinks at the pool are huge! Enjoy!
Thanks everyone !! I am not even booked yet and I am getting so excited just talking about it now. Waiting on a few friends to let me know for sure but, I think we may do this one. Is it a problem getting shade by the pool area - Do they have cabbana%26#39;s ?? Not that we don%26#39;t want the sun but, we will be getting there earlier so we will be doing the pool thing our first day.
Darren knows I%26#39;m going to chime in on this since we are both blackjack players. Love the Mirage atmosphere. Casino and dealers are great. Beatles music blasting out is cool, too.

I agree with all the comments above. I was pleased with my stay at Mirage and found their customer service to be excellent. The pool does have cabanas - haven%26#39;t rented one but they look gorgeous. If you don%26#39;t want to shell out the bucks, you can usually find some shade at the pool if you get there earlier in the morning (say, 9 AM.)
I was there in August and I%26#39;m staying there next week again. There is plenty of shade by the pool there. There are cabanas but not guaranteed you have to put your name on the list. I like this hotel and will be awesome once all the rooms are done=)
Have stayed at the Mirage twice in the Tower suites. These are fantastic and located on the 24th %26amp; 25th floors. I haven%26#39;t stayed in their regular rooms but this is one of the rare places where you can get the Penthouse suites for a pretty dam good price. These Penthouse suites compared to the Bellagio Penthouse suites are basically the same (Bellagio is newer so a little nicer) but over room size and layout are similar yet if you can plan you can get the Mirage Penthouse anywhere from $300-450 a night while the Bellagio Penthouse suite is never this close. Those suites run $600 at least. These prices are during the week and not on the weekend. The pool at the mirage is one of the best. I have ate at one of the places instead before and it was good. I really like the Mirage.
