Now that both the Palazzo and its pool have been open for a little while I need help in deciding between the Palazzo and the Wynn. For the same price I can get a Luxury View at Palazzo or a Panorama room at Wynn.
Room size/style as well as pool are important to us.
Which one?
Another Wynn vs Palazzo
Palazzo rooms are very nice, but all things being equal, for the same money, I would stay at Wynn. All in all, nicer, more upscale property.
Another Wynn vs Palazzo
Another vote for Wynn. Palazzo is a nicer version of The Venetian but Wynn is a class above. If price is the same, go with Wynn.
The Palazzo is all suites so your rooms are larger but our Standard room at the Wynn was just beautiful....very classy as was the entire hotel. We thought the pools and grounds were beautiful and they even have a European pool area that is private where tops are optional (ladies of course)! The Standard room at the Wynn was just under 700 sq. ft. and the smallest suite at the Palazzo is 720 so it%26#39;s a toss up on sizes. My preference is still the Wynn.
Wynn
We%26#39;ve stayed at both. We prefer the Palazzo but will be excited to check out Encore when it opens. The rooms and views are better at Palazzo. I like the restaurants and shops better at the Palazzo.
Still a bigger fan of Palazzo here.
Have stayed twice at Palazzo and three times at Wynn. Just our preference, but I really didn%26#39;t care for the room colors or white furniture styling in the Wynn rooms. We thought the room furnishings were kinda boring, but others like them, so again just a personal choice.
As far as casino goes, Still liked the Palazzo better also.. Less crowded machines and aisles, more open and bright, less smokey we thought. Great Cocktail service.
But you can%26#39;t go wrong with either.
One of my concerns with the Wynn is that it will be too stuffy. I don%26#39;t like the vibe at Bellagio. Is it similar to that?
I%26#39;m not sure what you mean by stuffy. I%26#39;m not a fan of the Bellagio only because it%26#39;s not that nice and it%26#39;s noisy. I felt more than comfortable and just well taken care of at the Wynn. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful as I would expect from an upscale hotel. The hotels in Vegas are mostly going upscale as are the restaurant offerings so there won%26#39;t be much difference between the Palazzo and the Wynn.
By stuffy I feel the casino is too gaudy and too many high limits. Keep in mind that I%26#39;m not looking for $5 tables, but all $25 is a little irritating. Having previously been to both hotels, but never stayed at either I would like to hold out hope for a better overall experience if I stayed at Wynn.
We don%26#39;t care much for the ';theme'; gaudy that many of the resorts do so we really liked the simple elegance of the Wynn. I have not seen the Palazzo but would assume it would be the same just because it doesn%26#39;t scream ';Paris'; or ';New York';. But table prices....well they are high in Vegas in many casinos so don%26#39;t look for any deals at the Wynn and probably not at the Palazzo. My husband is not thrilled with those $25 tables either. But the good news is you don%26#39;t have to play where you stay. Outside of the penny slots frenzy we had going at the Wynn, we hit some of the older smaller casinos that still offer a somewhat better break on the tables.
