Spa Rooms at Luxor .......any good?

I am planninga trip to Las Vegas in July for a wedding. I wanted to booka room at the Luxor and kind of like the Spa Rooms, any good? I guess a good question is too, is Luxor any good? Thank you in advance for your replies, it is very helpful! Paul

Spa Rooms at Luxor .......any good?

The spa rooms at Luxor are spacious and the tub is right up against the window so you can enjoy the view while you soak. However, like the other rooms in the pyramid, they are older and showing their age.

Luxor is what I would call a higher-class bargain property. They are in the process of making a lot of changes to the property and it is hard to get a feel for what the new vibe there is going to be. Personally, I would rather they spent more money on the rooms and less on expensive nightclubs and restaurants. I don%26#39;t understand the theory behind a place that offers rooms for $69/night but has restaurants with entrees at $30/plate and nightclubs with bottle service for $400.

stratton, thanks for the input. Any suggestions for staying at another property then as I am reading alot of bad reviews now on Luxor online. I just dont want to be the one writing such a bad review when I return from my trip. Thanks again!

We%26#39;ve stayed in one of those rooms, and we really enjoyed it. It was big and the view from the jacuzzi was wonderful. We actually had no problems with the hotel. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The only thing we didn%26#39;t care for was the service at the 24-hour cafe.

However, I agree that it%26#39;s one of the higher mid-level places, and if you%26#39;re that worried, I%26#39;d look somewhere else.

Sister Dino, thank you!

Any suggestions to were to stay?

Budget for 4 days and 3 nights about $500 (sat.-tues)

Thanks again everyone, Paul

Bill%26#39;s Gamblin%26#39; Hall

You won%26#39;t spend that much time in your room anyways so take your savings and have fun with it

Thank you everyone so far for your advice.

If anyone has any other advice, I%26#39;m listening!

Thanks again,

Paul

We stayed in one for my wife%26#39;s first Vegas trip. The room was incredibly spacious and I really thought the bathrooms were nice as well. Just felt like you had all the room you needed plus more. The bed was comfortable. I do agree that the rooms are starting to show some age, but if you can snag a good price I would not hesistate to stay here again.

We also have stayed at a spa suite at NYNY, and it was spacious too, but the tub was back in the corner of the room away from the windows, so you could only watch TV from the tub. The room itself was nicer at NYNY, but I enjoyed the tub at Luxor more because of the view.

The Petite Suites at Treasure Island are newley remodeled and start at $149.They have a jaccuzzi tub.

The jr. suites in Signature@MGM Grand are nice and have a jaccuzzi tub starting at $159.

Mandalay Bay has nice rooms with a good tub. starting at $129.

The saturday of your stay will be almost double of the sun-wed. rates. You can always swithch hotels during your stay alot of people on this forum stay at 2 different hotels during their stay.

Again, thank you to everyone and their advice. I%26#39;m listening ................
