Hi, i%26#39;m thinking of booking th Sahara 13-16th June just wondering if anyone has stayed there in the last month?
sahara = anyone stayed recently?
If this is your first time in Vegas you need to be aware that the Sahara is right at the northern end of the strip and there%26#39;s not an awful lot to get excited about in the immediate area. Can%26#39;t comment on the hotel itself as haven%26#39;t stayed there yet - I will be in Sept. (this will be my third trip and I%26#39;m quite happy with the location).
Having said that, there is a monorail station in the Sahara and buses run along the strip both of which which will connect you to the %26#39;main%26#39; attractions.

I was just ther not to long ago and it isn%26#39;t very nice. It looks like the last remodel of most of the rooms was in the 70%26#39;s. I have freinds going out there in may to saty there (for there first vegas trip) and I tried my best to talk them out of it. but you may like it. It is cheap which is nice and it is on the ';strip'; but as stated before it is on the very north and desolite north end. it does have a monorail station in it which is very nice to get to other parts of the strip and it is a cheap cab ride downntown. but personally I would stay somewhere nicer. if money is an object and you want cheaper and nice I would stay at the nugget. I hope this helps
If you stay there, be sure to ask for a room in the Tangiers tower, those are the best rooms. We stayed there awhile back and the rooms in the Tangiers tower were nice enough and extremely clean and comfortable. It was nice having the monorail right out the back door and we really didn%26#39;t mind the location. The casino was a fun place to gamble and I ended up going home with alot more than I came with that trip and won most of it at Sahara. The only thing I did not like was the buffet and I would not recommend it.
Have a wonderful trip!
Hi Adele, was there 12th-15th April for the first 3 nights of our stay (think this is the 3rd or 4th time we have stayed there). We always request the Tangiers Tower (newest), it has definately had a slight makeover since last year (new wallpaper/ceiling painted etc). Yes it is old and the bathroom and furniture is worn but it is clean and comfortable and considering we paid 拢115 inc it was very good value. 5 mins walk (allowing for traffic lights) to bus stop, 5 mins to monorail (from our room), 10-15 mins walk to Riviera/Circus Circus. In my opinion no further north from the action than Mandalay Bay %26amp; the Luxor are from the south end. Rooms are as you see on their website, pool is great, (always a sunbed available with plenty of space around it). We have always found the staff polite and helpful. We like it there, we moved to the Venetian for the next 5 nights of our stay and last year we went to Bellagio after 5 nights at Sahara - so we are fully aware of what else is available (think we have stayed at 10 different strip hotels so far and this is the one we have been back to the most). You pay for what you get, I think sometimes peoples expectations are too high. We like it at the Sahara and as long as you know what to expect (photos) you will not be disappointed.
Not ideal planning to be arriving in Vegas on a Friday. If you could postpone things 48 hours and arrive on the Sunday then your hotel budget would go way further.
If it%26#39;s your first time in Vegas then I%26#39;d take a look at Imperial Palace or Tropicana. Rates won%26#39;t be that much more than Sahara and locations are much much better.
