Shopping - Vegas vs NY

We are going to Vegas at the beginning of Septemember followed by New York, is shopping cheaper in Vegas than NY or much about the same. (clothes, cosmetics, electronics, gadgets)

Prices would be similar in each for the dept stores and shops in malls. One thing, I think Vegas has the best selection of shoes and handbags that I%26#39;ve seen anywhere, awesome!

I think Vegas has great outlets (Premium outlets in particular). I can%26#39;t say New York has anything similar. I%26#39;ve found prices in NYC to be higher in general (not to mention a higher sales tax).

are these premium outlets any different than ones you can find in places like orlando, pigeon forge, opry mills, etc...?

Shopping mmay be cheaper/about the same in Vegas but it is better in NYC. The department stores and stores like Tiffany%26#39;s are much much bigger with a bigger selection. You also have hundreds and hundreds of boutiques- many more than you will find in Vegas.

ny stores will have a larger selection than the boutique vegas stores. Prices are similar however, NYC taxes are higher.

Where in Vegas r the best places to shop.

We r from Oz and viiting in July for four days.

Wife keen to do what she does best.

We went to NY last year so know what the shops are like there (probably should have stated that in my original post).

Vegas is more convenient for outlet shopping.

There is something special though in strolling along 5th avenue though.
