Most incredible food and experience

ever been to NOBU? is it worth it?

Joel R

Alex

Il Mulino at Caesar%26#39;s

I%26#39;m going to 2nd lunch at Country Club Grill, very nice setting on the golf course and some imaginative and well-presented offerings.

Speaking of Wynn, I%26#39;ll throw in a breakfast recommendation, Tableau. Allow at least an hour, and expect to spend at least $50 for selections like duck hash, peach ricotta pancakes, and the famous short ribs and eggs.

We had a very nice experiance at Alize recently, excellent tasting menu, and of course the view.

My husband loves sushi and Nobu%26#39;s is his very favorite. If you like sushi, you will not be disappointed.

There are some truly excellent restaurants in town, in order of preference:

(1) Joel Robuchon. It recently was awarded 3 stars by Michelin - and it deserves it. It was the best meal I ever had.

(2) Guy Savoy. I love this place as well, although I didn%26#39;t think it was quite as good as Robuchon. Still, it%26#39;s a wonderful experience.

(3) Alex. Just a hair below Guy Savoy, and with prices that are merely super expensive instead of stratospheric.

(4) Picasso. To me, Picasso is a step down from the above three, but others disagree. In any case, it%26#39;s still a very fine restaurant, and offers a great view of Bellagio%26#39;s lake.

(5) L%26#39;Atelier de Joel Robuchon. The little brother of choice #1. It%26#39;s informal, with most seats located around a food bar. In terms of food alone, I%26#39;d rate it just above Picasso.

The problem with the list so far is that all five restaurants serve French food of one sort or another, although there%26#39;s a difference in style between each. Here are a couple non-French places, in no particular order:

(a) Okada. The best sushi in town. I also enjoyed its tasting menu.

(b) Bartolotta. An Italian seafood restaurant. Fish is shipped in fresh from the Mediterranean. It%26#39;s my favorite seafood restaurant in town, and also my favorite Italian restaurant. Most of its preparation are very simple, letting the ingredients speak for themselves.

If you want details of each of my meals at these places (plus about 75 other restaurants), go to my personal log at http://home.comcast.net/~lasvegasvacation/LV_RestaurantGuide.html (I%26#39;m not sure how well this url will be parsed, so you may have to cut and paste the address).
