Blues Bars

I also posted this on LVA to get the more responses. This has been posted in the past, 200? - 2008, but bars have closed. I%26#39;m looking for a Blues bar. Please, no House of Blues responses.It%26#39;s not a Blues bar. I know about Sand Dollar and Blue Diamond, and they are both what I%26#39;m looking for, but, I%26#39;m just looking for another venue. I don%26#39;t want to hear about New Orleans blues or jazz, or Delta blues. I%26#39;m looking for the vein of Buddy Guy, Jimmy Johnson, Sonny Seals, Bobby Blue Bland, Albert Collins, Tinsley Ellis, Charlie and the Night Cats, Koko Taylor, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Winter, Paul Butterfield, The Iceman, Etc, Etc.. There has got to be a few other venues than Sand and Blue. %26#39;Blues Fans%26#39; please give input. Please, NO STUPID BANTER FROM THE REGULAR 3,000-10,000 POSTER PEOPLE. Unless you have something to contribute, save your opinions for your comps, buffets, Wynn, Bellagio, Mirage, etc. Thanks

Where%26#39;s Chitowngambler when I need him? There is a bar off Fremont St near the Western that has blues some nights, but I can%26#39;t remember the name of it.

Are you opposed to larger venues? You knock the HOB, but that%26#39;s just the kind of place Buddy Guy would play if he was in town.

The Santa Fe Station has national blues acts one night a week. It%26#39;s a nice big club, not a dive, so if you are looking for the atmosphere along with the music you would not like the Santa Fe any more than you would HOB.

I saw Tab Benoit at the Santa Fe last October. I know, too country, too New Orleans, not what you are looking for, but the acts change every week and there is no cover.

I really don%26#39;t think there are that many blues bars in Vegas and a lot of what you will find is probably more West Coast than Chicago blues.

Blues Bars

The one off Fremont is the Bunkhouse, on 11th Street from what I read in an old post.

Hey przyk, Thanks for your info . My mother lives a few blocks from Santa Fe. I spend a lot of time there. I know they have (Blues bands????) but they are NEVER real BLUES, (country, jazz or whatever). They just call it BLUES. It%26#39;s not Chicago or Milwaukee BLUES. My list tells you what I%26#39;m looking for. I go to 6 points, in the Greendale (area) for the Blues jams on Sundays quite often. Super Blues, and it%26#39;s just jams. I also go to Liquid Johnnies, just a small bar, for the blues, next to the fair grounds in West Allis. Nice talkin to you.

Amazing!! With all the 3K++++ posters, I figured at least (1) one would have an opinion. I don%26#39;t want stupid answers but with all these posts and knowledge, I would figure someone would have a clue. All posters know something about everything, but not the BLUES? Didn%26#39;t think so. Next time I%26#39;ll ask about Elton John. There has got to be more blues fans out there. BLUES BARS??? THANKS

except for przyk. sorry

Vegas ain%26#39;t Beale St. You ever been there? You%26#39;d like it. I%26#39;ve never seen a blues act in Vegas in any of the casinos. I wish they had them, I love the blues. Especially Delta blues.

';I%26#39;m looking for the vein of Buddy Guy, Jimmy Johnson, Sonny Seals, Bobby Blue Bland, Albert Collins, Tinsley Ellis, Charlie and the Night Cats, Koko Taylor, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Winter, Paul Butterfield, The Iceman, Etc, Etc.. ';

I don%26#39;t think I%26#39;d want to look for Eric Clapton%26#39;s veins, probably not the veins of most of those other guys either.

Speaking of the Sand Dollar... wanted to visit it this past week while in Vegas and couldn%26#39;t find it. Thought it was at the Mirage but could not locate. Where is it at?

This place?
