Hi all,
Apologies as I%26#39;m sure this is a silly Q but I booked the Paris Hotel back in Feb for 6 nights in Sept. I couldn%26#39;t resist booking that early and now it looks like the price of the room has gone down 200$ over the week!
Will I still be charged the original amount or will they auto update to their best price? (that might be asking a bit much!)
Thanks

Hi
You must call the hotel and ask for the new rate or you will be charged the original price you booked at.

You definitely want to call and tell tehm of the new rate you found. It%26#39;s not too much to ask at all. It%26#39;s done all the time so don%26#39;t worry about it. They%26#39;ll be more than happy to change your reservation to the lower rate.
Actually... I just recently did this at the Mirage. The reservationist helped me without question and she was very helpful. My rate for the first two days of my four day trip were adjusted, and the rate for the last two days (which had gone way up) stayed the same.
I am traveling with a few other people and had them call as well. All of them were told that they would have to rebook to get the rate. I told them to call back and ask for a manager, which they did, and they got the rate adjustment.
I have done this at other hotels in Vegas besides the Mirage and never had a problem. Just remember if they tell you that they can%26#39;t do it that you can ask for a manager and they will do it for you.

Have you actually encountered a property that wouldn%26#39;t switch to the lower rate? Which one?
Muiriosa, since you%26#39;re in Ireland, no need to have the expense of a telephone call to the US if you don%26#39;t want to. Assuming you booked your stay online just go online again and make a new reservation for the lower rate and then cancel the old one.
Thanks all - ended up ring them and they brought it down over 200$, not bad for a 5 min convo!
Between now and your trip if you see it drop anymore, or you get any dicount emails, just call them again, and again, they will keep changing it!
