Well, we%26#39;re leaving in just over 12 hours! Trying to get all packed up. I have a question -- I%26#39;ve seen posts where, for various hotels, people say ';ask for the tower room'; or ';the ocean view'; or ';don%26#39;t get the lower floors'; or ';these rooms are upgraded and these are very dated';, or ';the rooms on this side have been remodeled';, etc. Can anyone who has stayed at the Orleans and/or Hooters tell me which rooms we should try to get? We%26#39;re staying at the Orleans Friday and Saturday and Hooters on Sunday (don%26#39;t ask -- my husband%26#39;s idea). We%26#39;re arriving very early, so hopefully that will help with availability. I%26#39;m mostly concerned with not ending up in a room with stained carpet, worn furniture, broken stuff, etc. I%26#39;m not necessarily going to try the $20 thing, but maybe with being nice we can at least get the best room for the price we paid (we paid the least possible for both hotels). Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Orleans and Hooters -- best rooms to ask for?
By the way, to clarify, I%26#39;m also not asking for the biggest, best suites, etc. -- just the best of the cheap rooms!
Orleans and Hooters -- best rooms to ask for?
At Hooters, ask for Ocean View. Don%26#39;t know about Orleans.. we stayed in Bay View last time and wish we had the other tower.
Oh, and make sure you get something with Hooters Casino on it.. It will change hands pretty soon.
Good luck and have fun!!!
I%26#39;ve stayed at the The Orleans probably 6 different times and the rooms all look alike and are the same size except of course the suites. They do have a new tower that I have not stayed in so maybe ask for that but whatever you do, ask for a room no farther than mid hallway. The Orleans hallways are very very long. The rooms at The Orleans are big and nicely furnished.
Thanks, everyone! I love this site!!
