Wynn upgrade question

I am booked for a Tower Suite in July. I am supposed to receive an upgrade (pending availability of course) thanks to American Express Platinum Travel. I have found that this upgrade usually isn%26#39;t offered without inquiring at most resorts.

So what I%26#39;m wondering is, what would be an upgrade from a Tower suite?

The next step up at Wynn is the Executive Suite. But these are very popular suites because they are attractivly priced compared to the Parlor %26amp; Salon Suites. So don%26#39;t be surprised if there aren%26#39;t any available.

We stayed at Wynn, booked with AMEX Plat also....the upgrade you will get is a better view, as warmwinds suggested. Have breakfast one morning in Tableau....out by the pools for the Tower Suites...lovely.

If you were REALLY lucky, you could score a complete room upgrade....but I should think you would have to be....REALLYYYYYYYY lucky....on the other hand, it never hurts to ask though.

You will also get breakfast, and a gift...lunch at Wynn....and late checkout. (4pm)

Just know that when you book with Amex or anyone else except direct with the hotel, they CAN%26#39;T adjust your room rate at the end of your stay, they are very generous with food comps there, so charge everything to your room. Before checking out, ask for a host to check your play....I stuck to slots and had our charges to the room taken care of. Nice.

Search for ';Wonderful Wynn Promotion Offer'; on this forum. You might find the upgrade package attractive as well.

mgg, I also have Amex Platinum. One must book thru their travel service to get upgrade and late check out. The Executives are NOT included in the Wynn program. You will get a reduced rate on a Parlor, but no upgrade from a regular TS room to an Executive.

to add. This has been the policy. HOWEVER Encore is opening and the Wynn may be much more open to deals as is evidenced by some of their promotions. Have the Amex agent enquire and let us know.
