Best hotel for Children

Can anyone please recommend a hotel in Las Vegas (end of May) for 2 nights for a family, children 7 and 9 years old.

Best hotel for Children

I used to recommend the Orleans, but my last visit there, wasn%26#39;t appealing.

Now, my first recommendation would be South Point, which is at the extreme south end of the strip. They have a movie theater, bowling alley ,and video arcade to keep the kids happy (although you cannot leave them there unattended)

Best hotel for Children

I hear the Excalibur is loaded with kids.

Embassy Siutes Las Vegas Airport(not Embassy Suites Convention Center).

Brand new Homewood Suites by Hilton Las Vegas South.

Brand new Hampton Inn Las Vegas South.

Mandalay Bay is fun for a big strip hotelwith a casino and great big pool.

The first 3 hotels I mentioned do not have a casino and are about 1-2 miles off the ';strip';.

Disneyland Hotel as always been very kids oriented.

For Kids, The best pools are at the Flamingo, Mandalay Bay. GREAT FOR KIDS. Go to the Flamingo or Bay. If you want more info about kids in Vegas, just go to the search about kids in Vegas. You will get your fill about it (anti kids). HAVE A GREAT TRIP TO LAS VEGAS.

I stay at Orleans. It%26#39;s terrible for kids. It%26#39;s senior citizens, like me. Flamingo would be great for you.

The kids would probaly like Circus Circus...loads of kiddie things to do there. And you older kids can have fun there too. :o) Ms. Traci

I would chose a hotel that is close to the activities that you plan to do with the kids. With that in mind, a few suggestions:

The Excalibur tends to have a number of kids - often because they are doing activities at the Luxor and the Excalibur is cheaper. They have a small food court upstairs between the two. So I%26#39;d definitely chose that if you are doing things at that end of the Strip. With kids that age, the blocks on the Strip can be rather long and tiring. Excalibur would put you across from the MGM where you can visit the Lions. Unless they changed the day, Tuesday was a great day since your kids could actually hold a cub, give it a bottle and get their photo taken at the same time. I think the Body exhibit (also across the street) would be too graphic for them.

Red Rock would be another suggestion - they offer bowling, a movie theatre, the pool and - great for kids - a food court with good food selections. Even the 24-hour cafe is great. Across the street you would find Best Buy, Target, Barnes and Noble in case you need anything to entertain them. You%26#39;re also fairly close to Hash House a Go-Go, which is a great place to eat (especially breakfast).

Silverton might be nice if they like to look at fish. The aquarium is pretty cool and they can look around inside Bass Pro Shop.

Southpoint also has the bowling and movies. If you%26#39;re flying, they also offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport and strip.

Circus Circus, while kid-friendly, is to scuzzy to me and I probably would shy away from a place where my kids would be hounding me to spend money as they would definitely do in that arcade!

Orleans is great too. They have the movies, bowling alley and yes, a daycare center if you wanted an hour by yourself. I like the rooms there - they seem larger compared to many on the strip - two beds and still room for a nice love seat. I also like the roomy bathrooms that you can get dressed in and have privacy doing so.

Video is wrong. Orleans is a senior citizens home. The rooms are only larger and nicer because of our walkers and wheel chairs. Kids wouldn%26#39;t like it.

We are going for 4 nights in Sept with out boys aged 10 and 13 and booked at MGM for the following reasons:

- their standard rooms look bigger than other hotels

- good chance of getting a cheap/free upgrade to their even bigger Bungalow room

- apparently good pool setup

- has monorail station on the premises

Got a good deal which expires 23rd April for USD 134 per nite and hoping to get an even better deal closer to Sept.
