I tried searching to find this, but thought I%26#39;d just ask...
I booked my plane tickets last night for August (yayyyy!!!!) and now I%26#39;m looking at hotels. We%26#39;ll be in LV for 5 nights, and were thinking thinking originally that we%26#39;d stay downtown the whole time. But it will be our first time staying downtown, and I%26#39;m thinking that maybe we%26#39;ll split the time between DT and the Strip. So I%26#39;m looking at staying at Bill%26#39;s, since it is the same price as Golden Nugget for that week. Everyone seems to have nice things to say about Bill%26#39;s so I%26#39;m pretty much sold.
Anyway, I%26#39;m just wondering about breakfast options. I love breakfast. I see that the Victorian Room serves breakfast, and that is obviously a sitdown, ';full'; service restaurant. So I know that is an option. I also see that there is a Seattle%26#39;s Best coffee. Last trip to LV, for breakfast we mostly ate either from the food court at MGM, or got Starbucks pastries. I do love a nice big breakfast, but I know we won%26#39;t want to do that every morning.
So, are there any quick options like that at Bill%26#39;s? Does Seattle%26#39;s Best have pastries and stuff like Starbucks does? I%26#39;m not sure if I%26#39;m willing to walk outside the hotel for breakfast. I%26#39;m usually at about 25% functioning before food and coffee, you know what I mean? Thanks for any suggestions you might have.
Quick breakfast at Bill's
Yes, they do. Sounds like a good plan to split it between GN and Bills. We were impressed with GN last week. Stayed there years ago and really liked what they have done with it. Bills is a great location, Seattles Best is great coffee and they had many pastries to chose from. Have fun!
Quick breakfast at Bill's
The Victorian room is a nice little diner with cheap breakfasts. Service was fast too.
It%26#39;s been a couple years so I don%26#39;t know if they do it anymore, but when we went they gave a small plate of free, fresh, still hot coffee cake to every table while wait for your breakfast order. It was DELICIOUS!
Oh, good. I just like to know that I can run downstairs and get some coffee and some sort of sustenance if don%26#39;t want to get completely ready for my day first. I was always shocked at how awake and groomed everyone seemed in the morning getting breakfast last trip. I was there, bleary-eyed, hair up, in a sweatshirt and jeans, just trying not to fall asleep while waiting in line.
Thanks, sage! I%26#39;m looking forward to this trip and trying new places. We stayed at MGM and TI last time, so this will be a little different, but I think more our pace. I think I%26#39;m going to like the size of Bill%26#39;s- MGM was way too big for me. And we visited GN in Dec and walked around, looked at the new pool. It was a lot nicer looking than I had expected. What are the rooms like?
Well, if breakfast is cheap and relatively fast at Victorian room, that sounds great, too. I love a hot breakfast, I just always feel bad about spending too much on it. Not like coffee and pastries at Starbucks is cheap though :) But fresh coffee cake! mmmm...
The Victorian Room also has breakfast specials from 11:00 pm until 7:00 am.
Seatles Best is on the north side of Bill%26#39;s right next to the Flamingo.
For a small property, Bill%26#39;s is great!
Breakfast at Bill%26#39;s is great. We loved the Victorian Room for breakfast, we thought it was better than the Bellagio%26#39;s buffett.
They have sourdough bread toast too. Mmmmm.
if the victorian room is the same place that was in the back of the former barb. coast, and hasn%26#39;t really changed, i had one of the WORST breakfasts ever there. we got comp%26#39;d the night before for a few different choices for breakfast the next morning. we all chose the skillet, i believe. your choice of bacon, sausage, or ham skillet with hasbrowns, cheese, peppers, and onions, with an egg cooked however you%26#39;d like added into the mix. i don%26#39;t know if the ham was old or what, but it tasted horrible. i can put some food away, being 6%26#39;2 - 220, but i couldn%26#39;t even eat half of it because of the taste. NONE of us ate nearly half of it. disregard this if it has changed since a couple of years ago, but the name of the place sounds familiar and it was definitely bad.
We stayed at Bills April 13-15th and had breakfast twice in the Victorian room. It was very good and service was excellent. No coffee cake tho.
I really liked Bills and will be staying there 7 nights in an upcoming trip. It is easy to get around, easy to dash down in the morning for coffee and pastries, just all around a good experience. Not to forget it is near all the other great casinos!
There is a Java Coast at the Flamingo that serves coffee and quick eats. I realize it%26#39;s outside of Bill%26#39;s but it would take under a minute to walk out the door of Bill%26#39;s and into the Flamingo. It%26#39;s pretty much in the entrance.
Leo- it%26#39;s probably not any further than the walk from our room at MGM to the food court :) Thanks for the tip, I%26#39;ll put that on my list of options.
